Global Head of Wealth Management
Peter joined in 2019. He is Global Head of Wealth Management for the Schroders Group and sits on the Schroder Group Management Committee. He chairs the Schroder Wealth Management Committee and the Cazenove Capital board. Over the past twenty years, Peter has held leadership roles in Wealth Management at UBS, Barclays and Tilney. He started his career in Corporate Finance at Warburgs after graduating in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from Oxford University. He holds an MBA from INSEAD, France.
Mary-Anne joined in 2001 and is Chief Executive of the business in the UK. She sits on the Cazenove Capital board, chairs the UK Management Committee and is a member of the UK Investment Risk Committee. She is also a member of the Schroder Wealth Management Executive Committee. She joined from Baring Asset Management where she had been Head of Private Client Service and prior to that, was Managing Director of the Paris office. Mary-Anne previously spent seven years in corporate finance at Baring Brothers in London and Paris, having started her career at Chase Manhattan Bank in London. She graduated from University College, London University, with a degree in Economics and is a native French and Italian speaker.
Chief Risk Officer
Nigel Drury joined Schroders in 2015, and is the Chief Risk Officer, responsible for groupwide risk management. Prior to Schroders, Nigel spent 15 years at ABN AMRO Bank (then acquired by Royal Bank of Scotland), working in various roles including; CRO of Wealth Management Division, CRO of Coutts & Co, Group Head of Operational Risk at RBS and the Head of Credit Risk Reporting and Control at ABN AMRO. Previously, he worked for JP Morgan in London, Hong Kong and Tokyo in investment banking risk management.
Chief Financial Officer
Helen was appointed Chief Financial Officer for Schroders Wealth Management in May 2020 and is responsible for the Wealth Management division’s financial, management and regulatory reporting. She joined Schroders in 2002 and held a number of positions in London, Bermuda and New York before being appointed as Head of Finance, Wealth Management in July 2016. Helen is a Chartered Management Accountant and graduated in 2002 with a BA in Philosophy from Warwick University.
Chief Investment Officer
Caspar is Chief Investment Officer. He chairs the Wealth Management Investment Committee, sits on the Cazenove Capital board and is also a member of the Schroder Wealth Management Executive Committee. He joined in 2016 from Architas Multi-Manager Ltd, part of the AXA group, where he was Chief Investment Officer and was responsible for all aspects of the investment activities, including investment philosophy, process and team. He also oversaw portfolio management at two of AXA group’s private banks. He previously headed the multi-manager business at AXA Framlington from 2006 to 2008. Prior to that, he managed a range of directly invested equity and, was Head of European Equities at Framlington and a member of the Healthcare team.
Non Executive Director
Sue was appointed as a non-executive Director of Schroder & Co. Limited in March 2016 and became Chair of the Wealth Management Audit and Risk Committee in November 2018. She held senior roles at Lloyds Banking Group plc from 2008 to 2013 including as Finance Director of Cheltenham and Gloucester, Divisional Finance Director posts and Group Audit Director from 2012 to 2013. Prior to Lloyds Sue held senior positions at Standard Life plc and Marks and Spencer Group plc where she was Group Treasurer and Head of Corporate Development. Sue is a chartered management accountant and currently holds a non-executive position at Abcam plc, where she is chairman of the audit and risk committee. She is also a member of the Codes and Standards Committee and Audit & Assurance Council of the UK Financial Reporting Council.
Non Executive Director
Paul Drechsler, CBE was appointed as a non-executive Director of Schroder & Co. Limited and member of the Wealth Management Audit and Risk Committee in September 2020. He is former President of the CBI, former Chief Executive and Chairman of Wates Group and, until June 2020, was Chairman of Bibby Line Group which employs 4,000 people in sectors ranging from financial services and retail, to shipping and construction equipment hire. Paul is actively involved in sponsoring UK corporate entrepreneurship and is a regular speaker at initiatives such as Lloyds Development Capital’s “Top 50 Most Ambitious Business Leaders” programme. He has wide philanthropic interests, particularly in the field of education and is former Chairman of Teach First.
Non Executive Director
Charlie Porter appointed as a non-executive Director of Schroder & Co. Limited and member of the Wealth Management Audit and Risk Committee in September 2020. He ran Baring Asset Management’s Unit Trust business until 1998, when he left to found successful hedge fund business Thames River Capital, attracting some of the most highly regarded Fund Managers in the City. In 2010, the business was sold to F&C Asset Management where Charlie Porter remained until F&C’s acquisition by Bank of Montreal in 2014. He remains an INED of BMO Asset Management Holdings Plc and is a member of its Risk and Remuneration Committee.
