Global Head of Wealth Management
Peter joined in 2019 as Global Head of Wealth Management for the Schroders Group. He sits on the Schroder Group Management Committee and chairs the Schroder Wealth Management Committee and the Cazenove Capital board. Over the past twenty years, Peter has held leadership roles in Wealth Management at UBS, Barclays and Tilney. He started his career in Corporate Finance at Warburgs after graduating in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from Oxford University. He holds an MBA from INSEAD, France.
Mary-Anne joined in 2001 and is Chief Executive of the business in the UK. She sits on the Cazenove Capital board, chairs the UK Management Committee and is a member of the UK Investment Risk Committee. She is also a member of the Schroder Wealth Management Executive Committee. She joined from Baring Asset Management where she had been Head of Private Client Service and prior to that, was Managing Director of the Paris office. Mary-Anne previously spent seven years in corporate finance at Baring Brothers in London and Paris, having started her career at Chase Manhattan Bank in London. She graduated from University College, London University, with a degree in Economics and is a native French and Italian speaker.
Chief Investment Officer
Caspar is Chief Investment Officer. He chairs the Wealth Management Investment Committee and sits on the Cazenove Capital board. He joined in 2016 from Architas Multi-Manager Ltd, part of the AXA group, where he was Chief Investment Officer and was responsible for all aspects of the investment activities, including investment philosophy, process and team. He also oversaw portfolio management at two of AXA group’s private banks. He previously headed the multi-manager business at AXA Framlington from 2006 to 2008. Prior to that, he managed a range of directly invested equity and bond portfolios, and was Head of European Equities at Framlington and a member of the Healthcare team.
Head of Schroders Family Office Service
Clare joined in 1996 after graduating from St Andrew’s University with an MA in English. She heads one of our London Private Client Teams focusing on ultra-high-net-worth individuals, specialist charities and complex family groups. She is also a member of Cazenove Capital’s UK Management Committee. She is a Chartered Fellow of the Securities and Investment Institute.
Co-head of Charities
Alex joined Cazenove Capital in 2009 and co-heads the Charities team. He is a member of the UK Investment Risk Committee and also has responsibility for managing large charitable endowments. Alex joined from Barclays Wealth, where he was an Associate Director managing charity and private client investments. He started his career with the charity team at James Capel (which subsequently became HSBC Investment Management) in 1998. Alex graduated from Durham University with a degree in History and Politics. He is a Fellow of the Securities Institute and a CFA charter holder.
Portfolio Director and Team Head – UK Wealth Management and Chief Executive, SWUSL
Dominic joined after graduating from London University in 1995. He sits on Cazenove Capital’s UK Management Committee, heads one of our London private client teams and is Chief Executive of our London-based SEC and FCA registered business which specialises in looking after US persons. Dominic also oversees our UK Charity business. He manages some of our largest and most complex private client and trust relationships, both onshore and offshore, and has considerable experience in the tax issues facing such clients. Dominic holds the Securities and Investment Institute Diploma.
Head of Wealth Planning
James joined in 2012 and is Head of Wealth Planning. James is responsible for advising some of our largest clients on broad wealth planning issues including retirement and estate planning, investment structuring and wealth protection. He is also responsible for all aspects of wealth planning at Cazenove Capital. He joined from UBS where he was Head of Financial Planning. Prior to joining UBS, James was a Financial Planning Director at Rathbones. James is a Chartered Financial Planner.
Team Head; member of UK Management Committee
Jeremy joined in 2002 and heads one of our London Private Client Teams. He focuses on managing investment portfolios for large private families and their trustees as well as for charities. Jeremy chairs the UK Investment Risk Committee, is a member of the Wealth Management Investment Committee and a member of the UK Management Committee. He joined from HSBC Investment Management (previously known as James Capel) where he spent nine years before moving to Cazenove Capital. Jeremy holds a degree in Economics and Philosophy from University College, London University and the Securities & Investment Institute Diploma.
Head of Client Service, UK Wealth Management
Kate joined in 1990 from Quilter Goodison where she started her investment career. She is Head of Wealth Management UK Client Service and is a member of the UK Management Committee. Kate focuses on managing investment portfolios for some of our largest and more complex UK and international private families and trusts, as well as for charities. Kate is a director of Schroders Pension Trustee Ltd. She has completed the London Business School Investment Management Programme, as well as a BSc in Human Environmental Sciences from King’s College, London University. Kate holds the Securities & Investment Institute Diploma.
Jonathan joined in 2008 and heads one of our London Private Client Teams. He also manages a wide range of onshore and offshore private client and trust relationships. Jonathan started his career at Quilter & Co. and subsequently moved to Rupert Loewenstein Investments, a multi-family office, where he was responsible for providing investment advice to its offshore clients. Jonathan graduated from St Andrew’s University with an MA in Ancient History and holds the Securities & Investment Institute Diploma.
Co-Head of Charities and Fund Manager, Cazenove Charities
Tom joined Schroders and began his investment career in 2005 after graduating from Newcastle University with a BA (Hons) in Business Management. He co-heads the Charity Team with responsibility for a number of segregated portfolios and clients invested in a Schroder common investment fund, the Charity Multi-Asset Fund and the Charity Responsible Multi-Asset Fund. Tom is a chartered member (FCSI) of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment. He has also completed the London Business School Foundation and Endowment Asset Management Course. He is a trustee of the Natasha Allergy Research Foundation.
Head of Sustainability
Kate joined in 2005 and co-heads the Charities team. She has researched and co-authored a series of publications on Charity investment best practice. Kate was chair of the Charity Investors' Group for 12 years, standing down in 2019. She also regularly writes on charity investment in the sector press and has won a Women in Investment Award for her work with the Charity Commission and the FCA to help create a new charity investment vehicle. Kate holds a BSc (Hons) in Natural Sciences from the University of Durham and is a CFA charter holder.
Team Head, Business Owners and Entrepreneurs
Karan joined in 2019 and heads a London and UK regional team focused on developing relationships with UK business owners and entrepreneurs. He also has ultimate responsibility for Cazenove Capital’s DFM business. Karan’s team advises some of the country’s most successful entrepreneurs and their families on all aspects of their private wealth. He joined from UBS where he held a number of leadership roles, including heading a desk in the London Wealth Management business. Prior to joining UBS, Karan was at Barclays Wealth and Credit Suisse. He holds an MBA from Manchester Business School, a Masters in Wealth Management from the University of Rochester and a Masters in Finance from the University of Bern.
Head of Banking and Treasury
Alex joined in 2003 and heads the Banking and Treasury team. He has 19 years of private banking experience. Previous to joining Cazenove Capital, Alex was Assistant Director, Banking, with Kleinwort Benson. He holds Diplomas in Retail Banking Conduct of Business and Mortgage Advice and Practice.
