A shared commitment to culture, creativity and long-term thinking
The Sun and the Moon have long been universal symbols of time, perspective and continuity - mirroring many of the themes central to our approach to wealth stewardship across generations. About the exhibition
Spanning two floors of Saatchi Gallery, The Sun and The Moon unfolds as a symbolic 24‑hour journey, from dawn through daylight and into the darkest hours of night. Each chapter explores how these celestial bodies have influenced art, ritual, science and storytelling throughout history.
The exhibition features works by both established and emerging artists across a wide range of media, including painting, sculpture, photography, film, fashion, textiles and immersive installations.

Exhibition highlights
Helios - Luke Jerram
At the heart of the exhibition stands Helios, a six‑metre illuminated sculpture of the Sun by British artist Luke Jerram. Created using detailed NASA imagery and scientific guidance, the installation offers a rare and awe‑inspiring encounter with the surface of our nearest star.
Massless Suns and Dark Suns - teamLab
Concluding the exhibition, Massless Suns and Dark Suns by the internationally renowned collective teamLab is an immersive installation that fills the space with floating spheres of light and darkness, inviting reflection on perception, existence and the boundaries between the physical and immaterial.
Art across time and cultures
From ancient cosmologies and mythological artefacts to modern interpretations of sunlight, space exploration and moonlit imagination, the exhibition includes works by artists such as Barbara Hepworth, Patrick Caulfield, Paula Rego, Peter Doig, Yinka Ilori and many more.
A continuing exploration of the natural world
The Sun and The Moon follows the success of FLOWERS – Flora in Contemporary Art and Culture (2025) as part of Saatchi Gallery’s ongoing series examining how the natural world continues to inspire creativity across artistic disciplines.
