Net zero: our Climate Transition Action Plan

2024

It’s our duty to protect your capital from the risks of climate change, but to also explore the opportunities that our rapidly changing world brings.

We believe that strong financial returns and meeting climate commitments go hand-in-hand. Our Climate Transition Action Plan outlines how we intend to transition to net zero by 2050 or sooner, integrating climate considerations into all that we do.

The science is clear: climate change is happening. In response, policymakers, businesses and individuals are adapting and reshaping the world around us – from transitioning to renewable energy, finding new ways to grow food, or buying electric cars. These decisions are creating investment opportunities and risks that didn’t previously exist.

Understanding these changing dynamics is a key to meeting our own climate commitments and, importantly, delivering strong financial returns to our clients. To read about the progress we’ve made against our Climate Transition Action Plan, read our latest 2024 report:

By 2050 we plan to:

100% of our discretionary assets to be net zero

We will aim to transition all our discretionary assets under management to be net zero by 2050

Engage with 100% of the managers we invest with to encourage robust management of climate-related risks and opportunities

We have 150+ managers to engage with on climate to ensure we are working towards meaningful alignment with the transition to a low-carbon economy by 2050

Grow our sustainable flagship funds* that have explicit allocations to climate solutions
