Measuring impact
Investors increasingly want to quantify the impact their holdings have on society and the environment.
Our award winning* impact measurement tool, SustainEx, allows us to quantify the benefits and costs that companies would face if their positive and negative impacts on the world around them were priced. We measure the potential impact of your investments on people and the planet. We can quantify the carbon footprint of your portfolio, for example, and help you reduce it. We can also estimate the monetary value of the social benefits – and costs – that your portfolio generates.
Each year, we release our Sustainability and Impact Reports for each of our sustainable flagship funds: the Sustainable Growth and Sustainable Balanced Funds for our private clients, and the Sustainable Multi-Asset Fund for our charity clients. Going beyond: contributing to areas of environmental and social need
A key focus of our sustainable funds is to contribute towards initiatives that provide solutions to areas of environmental need. To further the impact of our sustainable funds, Cazenove Capital has partnered with three charities to directly support core underfunded areas: conservation of the ocean, protecting biodiversity and pushing for climate justice.
Conservation of the ocean
We are partnering with 10% for the Ocean, where we aim to support their work to support existing and the creation of Marine Protected Areas (MPA) and continue to raise public awareness of the importance of the oceans in our fight against climate breakdown.
Protecting biodiversity
We are partnering with Fauna & Flora, where we will focus on protecting populations of important species, while ensuring communities can benefit from diversified income streams and reduced human-wildlife conflict.
Ensuring climate justice
We are partnering with Acumen, whose Hardest-to-Reach initiative focuses on addressing the clean energy needs of underserved communities often excluded from the green energy transition.
Impact Investing
For those clients who would like to allocate their capital to investments which aim to tackle the problems they see in the world, we offer impact investing. These investments are made with the intention to generate positive, measurable social and environmental impact, alongside financial return.
Our Climate Transition Action Plan
We believe that strong financial returns and meeting climate commitments go hand-in-hand. Our Climate Transition Action Plan outlines how we intend to transition to net zero by 2050 or sooner, integrating climate considerations into all that we do.
