Funding the future is a privilege; we use it wisely and responsibly.

External recognition is an important way to demonstrate to our clients that we are taking appropriate action on the climate crisis, addressing biodiversity loss and pushing for a fair and inclusive society.

We are delighted that Schroders and Cazenove Capital have achieved the following accreditations.

Top 5 in the ShareAction Point of No Returns 2023 Report
We ranked 5th out of 77 global asset managers for our approach to responsible investing. ShareAction is an NGO working globally to define the highest standards for responsible investment and drive change until these standards are adopted worldwide.

Top 5 in the Global Canopy Forest 500 Report
We were the top scoring asset manager. For nine years, Global Canopy’s Forest 500 has tracked the policies and performance of the 350 most influential companies and 150 financial institutions linked to deforestation in their supply chains and investments. Our top ranking is in recognition of the significant action we are taking to understand nature-related risks and opportunities, including launching a formal deforestation plan in our Group Nature and Biodiversity Position Statement and our Plan for Nature.

‘A’ rated by the Carbon disclosure project
This ranking was achieved by only 2% of nearly 15,000 companies, establishing Schroders as a leader in corporate transparency and performance on climate change. CDP’s annual environmental disclosure and scoring process is widely recognised as the gold standard of corporate environmental transparency. It aligns with the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures framework and forms the reporting mechanism for RE100 (the global corporate renewable energy initiative) and the Net Zero Asset Managers’ initiative. This year, Schroder’s score reflected numerous sustainability-related achievements including being one of the first asset managers to have its science-based targets validated by the SBTi.

Top 20 in the World Benchmark Alliances Financial Systems Benchmark
Measures and ranks the 400 most influential financial institutions on their contribution to a just and sustainable economy by supporting global goals such as the UN SDGs and the Paris Agreement. Schroders ranked 19th  out of 400 and ranks amongst the top 15 in the category “respecting planetary boundaries.”

These important market influencers help drive asset managers behaviours, evidence what progress is being made and how much remains to be done. We are delighted to have working relationships with all of these organisations and collectively will continue to push for progress.
