Our suite of five investment funds is designed exclusively for charities. A charity with just £10,000 can purchase units in our funds. Please take a look below.

Charity Responsible Multi-Asset Fund

The Fund is designed for charities who want to align their investments with their charitable mission and invest for a better future. Our intention is for the Fund to have a positive impact on people and the planet by avoiding harm through ESG integration and exclusions, benefiting stakeholders through responsible business activities and contributing to solutions through influence and investing for impact. The Fund has a target return of Inflation (CPI) +4% per annum over rolling ten year periods with distribution units paying a total return target distribution of 4% per annum*.

Charity Multi-Asset Fund

The Fund is designed for charities who want to adopt a diversified multi-asset and multi-manager approach targeting a return of Inflation (CPI) +4% per annum over rolling ten year periods with distribution units paying a total return target distribution of 4% per annum*. The Fund aims to deliver a smoother pattern of returns relative to equity markets and combines dynamic asset allocation with a best of breed approach for charities wanting to diversify their manager risk.

Charity Equity Value Fund

The Fund adopts a value style approach and aims to achieve a rate of total return above that of the FTSE All-Share Index on a rolling five-year basis, whilst excluding investment in tobacco manufacturers. This Fund is for charities wanting exposure to the UK Equity Market.

The Fund primarily aims to provide an attractive and steady level of income by investing mainly in UK equities. The Fund targets a premium yield in excess of the FTSE All-Share Index, whilst excluding direct investment in tobacco manufacturers.

The Charity Authorised Investment (CAIF) Fund Committee

The Committee is a consultative body independent of the CAIFs’ Manager and Trustee. The role of the committee is to represent the interests of unitholders in respect of the management and administration of the CAIFs, including in relation to (i) the appointment of delegates providing key services to the CAIFs, the investment objective and policy of the CAIFs, the income and distribution policy of the funds and the fees and charges borne or to be borne by any classes of units of a fund.

ONLINE TRUSTEE TRAINING

Having trained 8,000 charity trustees and executives in person over the past decade, we have now taken our comprehensive training programme online, including content from friends and partners at Mayfair Capital and haysmacintyre. The course is modular so has content that will be relevant for those who are new to the charity investment world as well as seasoned trustees.

UPCOMING EVENTS

Each year we run a number of different events including our charity trustee training giving you the opportunity to learn from investment, financial and legal professionals as well as introducing you to peers in other organisations. We also hold regular lunches and webinars focussing on our specialist charity funds and end the year with our flagship annual charity investment forum.

Cazenove Charities is focused on supporting those people involved in making investment decisions within charities and endowments. Through talking to trustees and understanding their needs, we identify the issues facing decision-makers today and seek to publish useful, relevant and thought-provoking material.
