John Gordon

Cazenove Capital
Head of Business Development
John joined in 1984 and is Head of Business Development, working closely with the Private Wealth Management teams to facilitate and coordinate their business development efforts. Prior to his current role, John began managing private client portfolios in 1989, initially managing private client portfolios and trusts, before joining the dedicated charity team. In addition, John is a non-executive Director of a substantial private property company and is a trustee and treasurer of a charity. He has 29 years’ investment experience and is a member of the Securities Institute (diploma).

Richard Jeffrey

Cazenove Capital
Chief Economist
Richard is Chief Economist and responsible for the strategic framework that supports the investment teams. He joined in 2008. Since completing a Masters degree in Quantitative Economics, Richard has worked as a professional macroeconomist and market strategist in the City of London. Richard has 35 years’ investment experience.

Wilaf Moore

Cazenove Capital
Portfolio Director and Team Head
Wilaf joined in 1999. As a portfolio director his responsibilities cover a broad range of private clients from the UK and overseas, charities and corporate clients. He is a member of the Investment Policy Committee and Portfolio Construction Committee. Wilaf graduated from Exeter University with a BSc (Hons) in Biological Sciences and holds the Investment Management Certificate and the Securities & Investment Institute Diploma. He has 17 years’ investment experience.

Chris Blackham

Cazenove Capital
Wealth Planning Director
Chris joined in 2016 and is a Wealth Planning Director, responsible for advising clients on pension and tax planning issues. Previously he was a Senior Wealth Planner at C. Hoare & Co. Chris has 18 years’ industry experience and is a Chartered Financial Planner.

Caroline van Zyl

Senior Associate
Caroline heads the private client and tax team in the Oxford office. She specialises in all matters relating to estate planning, succession, tax and trusts and counts among her clients entrepreneurs, academics, businessmen and women and wealthy families seeking to optimise estate planning opportunities. She also assists families with irregular structures, complicated affairs and those dealing with difficult personal circumstances. Caroline takes on the full range of private client work including trusts, wills, lasting powers of attorney and related capacity issues, probate and estate administration and related tax implications, working with members of Penningtons Manches’ specialist teams where appropriate.
