Giving investors insight and access to responsible investment opportunities that help grow the Scottish economy, tackle societal problems and improve the environment in which we live.
Following the success of our inaugural ‘mission led investment’ event for Scotland at the start of 2019, we are delighted to provide further details of our next Private Investor Conference on 26th February 2020. This exclusive event is once again being arranged and hosted by Cazenove Capital in association with LINC Scotland, Saffery Champness, Turcan Connell and Hampden & Co. This year the conference is also being brought to you in association with Entrepreneurial Scotland and Social Bite.
In November 2020, Scotland will be the global epi-centre of the climate change debate as Glasgow hosts the United Nations 26th Conference of the Parties (COP26) which, for the first time since the Paris Agreement was reached in 2015, will include global leaders - amidst a furious escalation of public pressure about the growing “Climate Emergency”. With Scotland aiming to transition rapidly to a low carbon economy, we will consider the impact of climate change, the critical importance of solutions which can be found and how Scottish academics and entrepreneurs are playing their part.
Climate change is certainly disrupting how we live and how we invest for the future but the technology revolution and the need for private investment to tackle problems in society are also creating huge disruption. With disruption comes opportunity for the prescient, so once again we will showcase some of the opportunities in Scotland to give private investors the potential for profit with purpose.
Join us on the day to take part in the debate and hear from a range of keynote speakers, including Josh Littlejohn MBE, founder of Social Bite, a social enterprise that's dedicated to helping end homelessness in Scotland. Josh is also the architect of the World’s Big Sleep Out which takes place on December 7th – if you would like to join in here in Edinburgh there is still time - click here for details or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
There will also be a series of break-out sessions, panel discussions and exhibitors, showcasing Scotland’s entrepreneurial spirit, innovative culture and a wide range of private investment opportunities.
We hope you will join us for this thought provoking and, judging from previous experience, inspiring day.
We will once again be holding this event at the easily accessible Edinburgh International Conference Centre (EICC) and already have an exciting line-up of speakers planned, which we will announce in the coming weeks, however in addition to the conference partners, the following organisations will also be getting involved - Big Society Capital, Big Issue Invest, Scottish Enterprise, Schroders plc, Cult Wines, Social Investment Scotland, the Green Angel Syndicate, and many more.
We will publish the full agenda, details of the breakout sessions and speaker biographies closer to the event, but for now let us know if you would like to attend and secure your place! Once you have registered we will contact you again to confirm your personalised agenda for the day.
