Lord Willetts, a minister in the Coalition government, became a leading voice on the intergenerational debate when in 2010 he published The Pinch: How the baby boomers took their children’s future – and why they should give it back.

At our annual private client conference – A New World Disorder? – held in May, Lord Willetts said he had detected a change in the attitude of baby boomers – those born between 1945 and 1965 – on key generational issues.

In this video, he highlights some of the insights in his conference speech, including the impact of demographics on the global economy, the looming problem facing China and his amusement at the number of millennials who gift his book to their parents.
