James Brooke Turner

James is the Nuffield Foundation's part time Investment Director, and is responsible for the management of the endowment. Since joining the Foundation in 2001, James has had a number of roles and also has been involved in various projects exploring some of the distinctive features of investing charitable funds and what this means for charitable endowments in particular. He has recently established a small business (Yoke and Company) to support charities on matters of financial and investment governance.

James previously worked for the Church Commissioners, the Church Urban Fund and the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign. He has been Treasurer of the AMRC and of ACF. James studied the History of European Art at the Courtauld Institute, and Medieval Culture at Birkbeck.
