Cazenove Capital is pleased to announce that Mary-Anne Daly, Chief Executive of Cazenove Capital, has been awarded Gold in the category ‘Woman of the Year - Financial Organisations - CEO/Board Member’ in Citywealth’s 2021 Powerwomen Awards.

The Powerwomen awards are an annual accolade recognising the most highly respected women in the wealth sector. They highlight the female leaders of today and tomorrow and in particular, those  individuals and companies who support female leadership, celebrate diversity and maximise the potential of women in wealth.

Mary-Anne has been Chief Executive of Cazenove Capital in London since 2017. She joined Cazenove Capital in 2001 and has led the combined Wealth Management businesses of Schroders and Cazenove Capital since the latter’s takeover by Schroders in 2013. Prior to joining Cazenove Capital, Mary-Anne held several senior roles at Baring Asset Management in London and Paris following a seven year career in Corporate Finance.

Peter Hall, Global Head of Wealth Management, said:

I am delighted that Mary-Anne has been recognised for her exceptional leadership in 2020, strengthening Cazenove Capital’s leading position in the UK family office space with the acquisition of Sandaire and building a strong UK regional franchise. She is a role model for women in the Wealth Management sector.”

When asked what advice she would give to young women who want to build a career in the City, Mary-Anne Daly responded:

“I have never seen myself as any different to my male colleagues in building my career, even when there were far fewer women in the City. The advice I would give to young women is the same that I would give to any member of my team: focus on delivering the best quality work for clients that you can, work hard but be authentic and have fun in doing so; value other team members, respect their individual skills and be prepared to challenge the status quo. Every one of us can make a difference.”
