Edinburgh, 17 March 2022

Cazenove Capital, one of the UK’s leading wealth management businesses and part of the Schroders Group, today announces it has appointed Nick Keenan as a Portfolio Director in its Edinburgh office, deepening its commitment to the Scottish market.

Nick’s appointment is the latest development in Cazenove Capital’s regional growth strategy as the business seeks to bring its personalised financial advice to a growing client base of high net worth individuals and their families. It follows the hiring of Portfolio Director James Burley in Edinburgh last year and the move to new premises at 24-25 Charlotte Square.

Nick brings years of experience to the Edinburgh team, which is led by Bob Hair. He joins the business from Barclays Wealth Management, where he held a number of strategic leadership roles which included responsibility for the Wealth Planning proposition in the UK and for leading the Wealth Management teams in the North of England. In previous roles Nick led the Financial Planning division at Santander, and held senior adviser roles with Credit Suisse and Coutts, with a focus on high net worth clients.

In his new role, Nick will be focused on supporting entrepreneurs and business owners with the deployment and management of their private wealth.

Bob Hair, Regional Head, Scotland, at Cazenove Capital said: “I’m delighted to announce the appointment of Nick Keenan, who brings almost two decades of invaluable industry experience to our Edinburgh office. I and the rest of the team look forward to working closely with him. Scotland is home to an exciting and growing pool of entrepreneurs, who are an integral part of the UK’s business owner community. We are well placed to support this group, and Nick’s appointment underlines our ambition to find the best people to continue to do so.”

Karan Sejpal, Team Head responsible for Business’ Owners and Entrepreneurs, at Cazenove Capital said: “This appointment signals Cazenove Capital’s continuing appetite for bringing personalised, meaningful wealth management guidance to business owners, entrepreneurs, wealthy individuals and their families in Scotland. We continue to build our regional footprint, to provide on the ground support for clients”.

Nick Keenan, Portfolio Director at Cazenove Capital said: “The wealth management industry and make-up of UK clients has evolved significantly over the past two decades, but what remains unchanged is the client need for a trusted, long-term partnership with their wealth manager. Whether virtually or in person; first or third generation; the client-adviser relationship is central to ensuring clients achieve their life goals. Cazenove Capital, as part of the Schroders Group, has a unique understanding of entrepreneurship, family businesses and generational wealth. I look forward to joining the team in Edinburgh to work in partnership with clients across Scotland.”

Since January 2021, Cazenove Capital has invested resources, opened new offices and made strategic hires in the Midlands, South West, North West, Scotland and London, respectively.
