Over ten years the fund has delivered a return for investors of 6.4% net of fees. The fund gained 10.6% in the first nine months of 2019.

Equities and bonds have both performed strongly this year, thanks in large part to support from global central banks.

We maintain a meaningfully underweight position in bonds and a neutral stance on equities.

We continue to focus on diversification within the portfolio and have raised our allocation to alternatives. We added to our positon in gold and initiated a position in Schroders Diversified Alternative Assets Fund, which provides exposure to alternative investments including real estate, infrastructure and private equity.
