Richard Jeffrey joined Cazenove Capital in 2008. He is Chief Investment Officer and responsible for the strategic framework that supports the investment teams. Since completing a masters degree in quantitative economics in 1981, Richard has worked as a professional macro-economist and market strategist in the City of London. Most recently he was at Ingenious Securities, where he was a Director and Head of Securities. Between May 2002 and 2006, Richard was a director and Head of Research at Bridgewell Securities . From 1992 to 2002, he worked for Charterhouse Securities as Head of Research and for Charterhouse Group as Chief Economist. Prior to this, between 1981 and 1992, he was employed by Hoare Govett Ltd., ultimately heading up the economics and strategy team. As well as working as a professional economist, Richard sits on the Council of the Centre for Policy Studies; he is also on the Committee of the Regulatory Evaluation Group, established under the auspices of the Adam Smith Institute. Richard Jeffrey is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (FRSA) and a City Fellow of Hughes Hall, Cambridge. He is a frequent broadcaster on radio and television and has written for various newspapers and magazines. Richard has 31 years of investment experience and is a director of Cazenove Capital and its offshore hedge funds.
